The Court Means Nothing If Trump Gets Away With This
When the Judiciary lacks power. The Constitution becomes just paper.
Judge Boasberg gave Trump and his sycophants a deadline: noon Wednesday, March 19th. They have to submit sworn statements, explaining why they ignored a federal court order and shipped hundreds of Venezuelans off. But let's be real—they don’t think they have to answer to anyone.
They got told to turn the planes around. They didn't.
They got ordered to stop deportations. They sped them up.
A federal judge said you're breaking the law. They broke it anyway.
Now they're daring the courts to do something about it.
If they get away with this, the courts mean nothing. And if the courts mean nothing, what’s left?
This is our government breaking down in front of us…
The DOJ knew and did nothing
AG Wilder knew this was coming. He was asked point blank if the administration would listen to judges.. He dodged. He called it "a complex issue of national security." He assured everyone the DOJ was "exploring legal options." He never said they’d follow the law.
And now we know why.
Because they weren’t planning to.
During Monday's emergency hearing, Judge Boasberg called them out on their excuses.
DOJ lawyer Abhishek Kambli tried to argue that the judge’s verbal order didn’t count—that only a written order mattered. Boasberg shut that down quick..
“That's a heckuva stretch.”
Now, the White House is scrambling to explain the third flight, the one they launched after getting the written order. If they walk, the message is clear: judges are just people with robes and opinions.
Who does the Justice Department work for these days? Not justice, that's for sure.
The DOJ isn't independent. It works for the president. They cut the checks. If the courts are the referees, the DOJ is now the goon squad, clearing the way for the the boss, Trump.
Trump's Betting You Won't Care
The judge's order was dead simple. Stop the deportation flights now. If planes are already flying, turn them around.
That didn't happen.
Two planes landed in El Salvador anyway. A third took off after they got the written order.
Press Secretary Leavitt didn't even try to sound legal. She just said the ruling didn't matter because the planes were "already outside U.S. airspace.”
They're not even hiding it. Border Czar Tom Homan said it out loud…
"I don't care what the judges think."
Czar Tom didn’t misspeak. That was their game plan the whole time. A deliberate challenge to the rule of law in order to take one step closer to a fascist America.
They're not testing boundaries. They're showing us the whole system is broken. Trump and team ignored a court order and dared anyone to stop them. If no one does, what will they try next?
People Aren't Just Deported—They're Gone
This isn't just about flights. It's about where they sent people.
El Salvador's CECOT prison isn't a prison. It's a black hole for humans.
No trials. No lawyers. No phone calls. Just chains, blacked-out windows and forgotten lives.
People sleep standing up because cells are that packed. Guards strip them, beat them… starve them.
The mass graves outside tell the real story. Hundreds of bodies. No names. No records. Families don't even know their loved ones are there.
Families left in the dark and relatives left with no answers. No calls, no trials… just silence.
These weren’t all convicted criminals. Some weren’t even gang members. The administration didn’t check. They didn’t care.
Human rights groups are sounding alarms. Amnesty International calls this "a flagrant violation." The UN demands answers.
This Is a Trial Run for Something Bigger
Every time Trump tests the limits of his power, he pushes further. If this is what he’ll ignore a court for, what happens when the stakes are even higher?
If courts rule against Trump on election disputes, does he listen?
If courts block his plans to silence journalists or protestors, does he care?
If courts rule he can’t round up activists and “designate them threats”… what then?
This isn’t theoretical. It’s not over dramatizing anything. It’s happening. This is a test. And the courts are failing it.
Courts Don’t Have Cops.
As stated above, judges don’t have police. They rely on the executive branch to enforce the law. The moment a president decides court orders don’t apply to him, the whole system breaks down.
Right now, the DOJ should be leading the charge to enforce the law. Instead? They’re making excuses for breaking it. The executive branch holds all the power when it comes to enforcement. If Trump’s DOJ won’t enforce the law, who will?
We will!
Groups like the ACLU and Democracy Forward are already fighting back in court, but the legal battle alone won’t be enough. We need people demanding accountability.
Find your representative. Light up their phones. Flood their inboxes. Show up at their town halls. Make them uncomfortable. Tell them that if they won’t act, they’re complicit. (Find Your Rep)
